Adjunct Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Faculty PositionSauk Valley Community College, a comprehensive community college located in a picturesque rural setting, invites applications from innovative individuals for an adjunct CNA faculty position.

Located in rural northwestern Illinois, along the scenic Rock River between the cities of Dixon and Sterling, the College is one hour from Rockford and the Quad Cities and two hours west of Chicago.

Examples of Duties

The successful candidate will report directly to the Dean of Health Professions.

• To be cognizant of the philosophy and objectives of the College and use them as guidelines in planning, structuring, and teaching courses.
• The teaching assignment includes lecture, campus lab, and clinical instruction for the Nurse Assistant Program.

Qualifications

• Required Qualifications
• Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) (or eligibility for license) in Illinois.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience.
• Completion of Train the Trainer certification.
• Possession of an approved CNA Evaluator Certification.

—OR—

• A Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree.
• Possession of an approved CNA Evaluator Certification.
