Food Service - Aide

Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Aide to join our team on a part-time basis. This position is located district-wide and plays a vital role in supporting the food service operations. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and serving of meals, maintain cleanliness and safety standards, and provide excellent customer service to students and staff.

• Responsibilities
• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals in accordance with established guidelines and menus.
• Ensure that all food items are stored, prepared, and served in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness in food preparation and serving areas, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
• Set up and break down food service stations for meal service.
• Monitor food inventory and assist with restocking supplies as needed.
• Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during meal times.
• Assist with special events and catering as required.
• Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Cook and Director of Operations.

• Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in food service or a related field is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items as needed.
• Flexibility to work varying hours, including mornings, afternoons, and occasional weekends.
• Must pass a background check as required by district policies.

Hours: 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
