Transportation Training & Safety Coordinator

Works under general supervision to perform specialized training and to communicate safety information as it relates to the Transportation Department. Assumes primary responsibility in responding to personal injury and vehicle accidents and completes on-scene investigations. Prepares and submits reports to District personnel and Arizona Trust as required. Investigate customer service complaints relative to safety issue. The Transportation Training and Safety Coordinator maintains the professional attitude and conduct required to meet the general public as a representative of the District. Supervises bus driver trainees and others during safety related courses or emergency response situations. Regular attendance is required to perform the essential functions of this position.

Position Details

REQUIRED:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two years of school bus driving experience
• Possession of Arizona Class B Commercial Driver's License
• Meets all Arizona School Bus Driver Trainer requirements within three months of date of hire
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
