Substitute Fitness Center School Monitor

Position: Substitute Fitness Center School Monitor
Type/Hours: Monday - Friday 5:00PM-8:00PM as need by district in absence of employee or based on needs of district.
Salary Range: New York State Minimum Wage

Minimum Qualifications (in accordance with Civil Service requirements):

• Able to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently.
• Ability to communicate with children and adults in a positive and professional manner.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

• Supervision & Safety: Actively monitor the fitness center to ensure all users are operating equipment safely and following established gym etiquette.
• Facility Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning of machines, organize free weights, and report any mechanical issues or safety hazards to school administration.
• Emergency Response: Act as the primary point of contact for incidents; follow school protocols for injuries or equipment failure.
• Policy Enforcement: Politely but firmly enforce rules regarding fitness center use.
