Middle School Special Education Teaching Assistant

Description:

Arlington Heights School District 25 has an opening for a full-time (1.0 FTE) Special Education Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a student at South Middle School for the 2026-27 school year.
The hours for this position are Monday - Friday, 7:35 am - 2:50 pm.
Pay : $21.40 / hour
Teaching Assistants provide support to our students with special education needs. Special Education Teachers will provide guidance to ensure that you are implementing the Individualized Education Plans for students throughout their school day in general education classes, small group instruction, hallway transitions, lunch, recess and activities of daily living.

Qualifications:

• Must have a valid Illinois Paraprofessional License, Sub license, or PEL
• Have a genuine interest in students
• Ability to effectively communicate with children and adults
