Lead Custodian

JOB DESCRIPTION: Work under the supervision of the Custodial Supervisor at the assigned campus. Coordinate the campus custodial operations. Establish and follow routine cleaning and maintenance procedures to maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency of building operations and grounds. Take direction from the campus principal, as needed, to facilitate events and functions. Evaluate assigned custodians on a regular basis.

START DATE: ASAP

SALARY: $16.62 minimum

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of three years custodial experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Valid Texas driver's license

Training in management/supervision preferred

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Ability to understand instructions for cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures;

Ability to maintain an accurate inventory of all campus supplies;

Ability to maintain accurate attendance and personnel records;

Must be able to submit accurate timesheets;

Knowledge of minor repair techniques and building and grounds maintenance;

Ability to operate cleaning equipment and lift heavy equipment;

Ability to properly handle cleaning supplies;

Ability to manage personnel;

Effective planning and organizational skills;

Strong interpersonal skills
