SCHOOL MONITOR

(6 hour)

The Beacon City School District seeks motivated individuals to join our team as Per Diem School Monitors.

Position Overview:

This work involves supervising and monitoring school-age children to maintain order and discipline throughout the school environment.

Responsibilities Include:

• Monitoring hallways
• Issuing passes
• Assisting with student supervision
• Addressing behavioral issues under the direction of school administration.

Schedule & Appointment:

• Flexible work schedule tailored to district needs and the employee’s availability
• 6.5 hour workday based on the school schedule, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch (6 paid hours per day)
• Appointment through June 30, 2027
• Opportunities exist for employees with strong performance to move into roles with more consistent schedules

Qualifications:

• NYS Fingerprinting clearance required

$17.20/hour
