PRIMARY PURPOSE:

PAC Student Technicians will assist the PAC Manager will all technical aspects relating to productions within the assigned performing arts center.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

• Must be a Beaumont ISD student

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

PAC Student Technicians will assist the PAC Manager will all technical aspects relating to productions within the assigned performing arts center. These duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Setup of all equipment, set pieces, and other PAC materials necessary for the production
• Assisting performers with all PAC equipment
• Running the sound board, light board, and other PAC technical equipment
• Striking all equipment, set pieces, and other PAC materials after each production

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Mental Demands

• Maintain emotional control under stress
• Work with frequent interruptions

Physical Demands

• Light lifting and carrying, reaching above shoulder, use of fingers, repetitive hand motions; frequent bending and stooping
• Prolonged use of computer

Environmental Demands

• Normal office environment
• May work prolonged or irregular hours
• Exposure to childhood communicable diseases; good general health and stamina needed
