Long-Term Substitute: Middle School English

Bensalem Township School District is seeking a qualified and dedicated Long-Term Substitute English Teacher for Shafer Middle School to start at the beginning of December through the end of the 2026-2027 school year.

Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania teaching certification in Middle Level English (Grades 7–9).
• Strong instructional, communication, and classroom management skills.
• Ability to develop and deliver engaging lessons aligned with Pennsylvania academic standards.
• Ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment that promotes student achievement.

Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction in English Language Arts to middle school students.
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum and instructional standards.
• Assess student progress and provide appropriate feedback.
• Maintain classroom management and foster a positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to support student success.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal.
