Position: ESL Paraprofessional
Hours: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Position Length: 9-month position
Wage: Dependent upon experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support to students who are learning English.
• Assist students with reading, writing, speaking, listening, and understanding English.
• Work individually or in small groups to reinforce classroom instruction.
• Help students understand classroom assignments, directions, and learning activities.
• Support students in accessing grade-level curriculum and classroom materials.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to meet individual student needs.
• Help create a positive, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment.
• Encourage student independence, confidence, and participation.
• Assist with classroom activities and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Experience working with English Language Learners is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff.
• Ability to maintain student confidentiality.
