Substitute Teacher 2026-27 School Year

Thank you for your interest in becoming a substitute teacher for Camden County Schools. The following is a list of requirements that must be met in order to be added to the substitute teacher list.

-Current, updated Substitute Teacher Application

-Two Letters of Recommendation - uploaded to the application (a signed letter, written/typed in their own words on why they recommend you to be substitute teacher). The recommendation letter must be signed.

-Official Transcripts - (from your highest level education). If it's college transcripts, they must be official transcripts either emailed directly to me (Lrobert@camden.k12.ga.us) through a parchment/e-service/college or sealed/mailed to 311 S. East Street, Kingsland, GA 31548. They cannot be uploaded or forwarded by the applicant. If you have a sealed, un-opened copy in your possession, you may bring it with you to the training.
If your highest level of education is a GED/High School Diploma, a copy of the certificate/diploma is sufficient, and it can be uploaded to the application.

Upon completion and submission of your application, you will be enrolled in one of the following substitute teacher training sessions. The trainings are held at the Camden County Schools Administrative Office. 311 S. East Street Kingsland, GA 31548

The substitute teacher training sessions are scheduled for the dates listed below, 8:30 AM -12:30 PM

• August 20, 2026 from 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM
• September 24, 2026 from 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM
• October 22, 2026 from 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM
• November 12, 2026 from 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM
• January 14, 2027 from 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM
• February 18, 2027 from 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM
• March 18, 2027 from 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM

If you currently hold a valid GA teaching certificate or GA certificate of eligibility, you are exempt from the 4-hour training session.

After successful completion of the substitute teacher training you will be provided with additional instructions/requirements.
