Special Education Evaluation Specialist

Description: Evaluation/referral specialists work with staff in completing evaluations and special education case studies. The Evaluation/referral specialist complete testing of students, work with building based MTSS teams, parents and other educational personnel to assist in the completion of special education referrals, MTSS problem solving, re-evaluations and the successful delivery of special education to students within the Canton Union School District.
Reports to: Director of Student Services
Qualifications: A Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with a Master's Degree in the field of Special Education or be in the process of completion. Knowledge of school-based learning processes and appropriate instructional interventions. Knowledge of collaborative and consolation models and methods and their applications.
