Seasonal Full-Time Groundskeeper

Education…Valid TX Drivers License

Experience…Basic knowledge of general grounds maintenance and repair procedures, operate hand and power tools and specialized grounds equipment (lawn mowers, weed eaters, concrete mixers, etc) Ability to work independently, communicate effectively and follow written and oral instructions.

Abilities… must be physically able to do continual walking, standing, carrying, heavy lifting (up to 100 lbs) climbing, stooping, bending, reaching, work outside/inside and sometimes with exposure to extreme temperatures. Also exposed to dust, fumes, odors and mechanical, electrical, chemical hazards, able to work at heights of 30-40 feet.

Duty 1... Mow and detail all district grounds, including chalking athletic fields, care for trees, shrubs, flowers, and other vegetation through watering, fertilizing, spraying, pruning, planting, mulching and weed control. Remove snow and ice as needed, fence repair, paint curbs with letters/numbers and names. Repair building and grounds structures, including playground equipment, task focused, supports administrative policy, perform other duties as assigned.
