Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable individual to join our educational team as a Substitute Teacher. This full-time position requires a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students across various grade levels and subjects. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for education, and the ability to engage and inspire students in the absence of regular classroom teachers.

• Responsibilities
• Deliver instructional plans provided by the regular teacher and adapt lessons as necessary to meet the needs of students.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Foster student engagement through interactive and creative teaching methods.
• Assess and document student progress, providing feedback to regular teachers as needed.
• Collaborate with school staff to support student learning and well-being.
• Supervise students during lunch, recess, and other non-instructional periods.
• Uphold school policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and respectful atmosphere for all students.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student performance and classroom activities.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

• Requirements
• High School Diploma or the equivalent
• Completion of Canyon ISD substitute training
• Previous experience working with students in an educational setting is highly desirable
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and classroom environments
• Proficiency in using technology and educational software
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently as needed
