Qualifications:
NJ Social Studies Teacher Certification
OR NJ Elementary Certification with Middle School Subject matter Specialization: Social Studies in Grades 5 - 8
Able to work with middle school students & faculty
Effective communication and collaboration skills with colleagues
Flexible and organized
Extra duties as assigned by the building Principal
Salary: $60,653 - $115,891 per year. Final compensation will be based on experience and qualifications
Full-time staff are eligible for Medical, Prescription, and Dental Benefits. Sick, Personal and Bereavement Days are included

All alternate route candidates ("Certificate of Eligibility) must show completion of 50 hours of pre-service training through a DOE approved CE educator program prior to being interviewed for a position. The certificate of completion must be uploaded into the AppliTrack portal in order for alternate route candidates to be considered. It explicitly prohibits such employers from hiring a person serving in a position which involves regular contact with students unless the employer conducts a review of the employment history of the applicant by contacting former and current employers and requesting information regarding child abuse and sexual misconduct allegations.
