Part Time Career Facilitator

POSITION TITLE: PART TIME CAREER FACILITATOR
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: PEL in School Counseling or Type 73.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: This position is part-time, working 2 days per week for a total of 72 days per school year. There is no benefits associated with this position and the position is grant funded on an annual basis.

EXPECTATIONS:
All employees must adhere to district Board Policy, administrative procedures, and the applicable collective bargaining agreement (CHSD 218 Support Staff Agreement, I.E.A. Local 218). Employees in this role are subject to all relevant Illinois and federal laws governing the education and employment of individuals with disabilities, including IDEA, ADA, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. Mandated training requirements must be completed as directed. Maintain regular communication with students, families, and staff regarding student progress. Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum and instructional practices.

Qualifications/Skills:

• Promote Career and Technical Education (CTE) opportunities to students, staff, and community with emphasis on Career Pathways
• Provide career guidance and career exploration opportunities for students
• Coordinate annual Career Fair with the Counseling Dept.
• Work with administration, teachers, and the Moraine Area Career System (MACS) staff to develop CTE Programs of Study and Career Pathways
• Represent CHSD 218 on the MACS Counselor Advisory Committee
• Assist the Counseling Department with career guidance software, Early College opportunities and community partnerships
• Must be able to Travel on Field Trips and between district buildings.

Salary - $ 15,000.00
