Job Title: Maintenance Painter

Position Summary: The Painter is responsible for maintaining all district facilities in a condition that is aesthetically pleasing and safe to promote the educational program of the District.

Qualifications & Requirements:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Must be a card carrying Journeyman. Must possess a valid Driver’s License and provide certification of good health signed by a licensed physician.

Knowledge on surface preparation, application techniques, materials, measurements, safety regulations, and tools is necessary for the position. The individual must demonstrate the physical and mental capabilities necessary for the role, including strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to follow directions, demonstrate attention to detail, and possess strong memory and comprehension skills is required for this role. The position requires the physical ability to occasionally lift, push/pull, and carry up to 80 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, climb and work off ladders, small scaffolds, and lifts. Some climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling are required. Must have the ability to perform tasks under extreme temperature variation and in all weather conditions. Proficiency and ability to use a variety of tools and equipment utilized in the basic trade is needed. It is required to have the ability to perform all assigned duties and tasks with limited supervision and work effectively around students, staff, parents, and community members.
