CTE Construction Teacher

CTE CONSTRUCTION LICENSURE

• Candidates must hold or be eligible to hold a teaching license in the CTE Construction license area (74026).
• Non-licensed, provisional candidates are eligible based upon holding a related Bachelor's Degree with a minimum 2.7 GPA and two years of industry-related work experience.
• Non-licensed, provisional candidates are eligible based upon holding a related Associate's Degree with a minimum 2.7 GPA and four years of industry-related work experience.
• Non-licensed, provisional candidates are eligible based upon holding a High School Diploma and six years of industry-related work experience.
• Related degrees include:
• Carpentry, Construction Management, Building Construction, Electrician, Electrical Trades, HVAC, Plumbing

Work experience examples include:

• Construction industry with demonstrated experience in the carpentry, electrical, and/or masonry fields, construction manager, electrician, mason, masonry installer, HVAC Technician, Plumber, previous teaching experience in this content area
