After-School Tutor

The Community Charter School of Paterson is seeking After-School Tutors.

The Program is Scheduled to start September 21, 2026. Program hours are from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Implementation of after-school tutoring program aligned with academic priorities.
• Assist to monitor student engagement and academic progress through regular check-ins and assessments.
• Assist with maintaining attendance records for students.
• Manage student groupings to ensure academic alignment and productive sessions.
• Address student behavior concerns and implement positive behavior interventions.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants.
• Assist with maintaining compliance with safety protocols and school policies.

Qualifications

• NJDOE Teaching Certificate
• Knowledge of best practices in teaching and a commitment to fostering positive outcomes for young people.
• Knowledge of instructional strategies and academic data use.
• Must be in good standing (attendance and other job responsibilities)  and available 3:00–5:00 PM daily.

The CCSP benefits package is subject to the terms outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for members that are subject to the CBA. The benefits package for staff members that are not subject to the terms of the CBA is at the sole discretion of the Board of Trustees.
