Long-Term Middle School Special Education Substitute

Delsea Regional School District is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and collaborative Special Education Teacher to serve students in a middle school multiple disabilities classroom. The ideal candidate is committed to providing individualized, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate instruction that supports students with complex learning, physical, and communication needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with students’ academic, functional, and social-emotional goals
• Provide differentiated instruction using evidence-based practices tailored to students with multiple disabilities
• Collaborate with related service providers (speech, occupational therapy, physical therapy, school psychologists, nurses, and paraprofessionals)
• Manage and support paraprofessionals within the classroom setting
• Use assistive technology and adaptive equipment to support student access and engagement
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and federal special education regulations
• Foster a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
• Communicate regularly and effectively with families and caregivers
• Participate in IEP meetings, team planning, and professional development activities

Salary: $175/day
