Food Service Worker (Server/Dishwasher/Cashier)

Detroit Lakes Public Schools Food & Nutrition Services (FNS) is seeking a Part-time Food Service Worker. Come be a part of something meaningful—helping provide nutritious meals and a welcoming experience for our students.

Summary: Performs a variety of FNS duties according to department requirements, including but not limited to; preparation, serving, dishwashing, cashiering and clean-up.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: Previous Related Experience in high volume food service

• Special Knowledge, Skills, Certifications, Licensure Required:
• Knowledge of materials and methods used in food preparation.
• Knowledge of care and use of cooking utensils and equipment.
• Customer Service Skills
• Be able to Multitask
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to organize duties and utilize time management skills.
• Be dependable

• Additional Preferred Qualifications:
• Computer Knowledge
• Ability to understand nutrient information
• Previous Related Experience in school food service
• Food Handler Certification

Schedule: 10:00 am - 1:30 pm (Monday - Friday) When school is in session.
Alternate hours may be available on a flexible or substitute basis.

Wage: $18.00 per hour with progressive salary options
Building: District-Wide
