Building Secretary – 7.5 hours a day

Dixon Public Schools is accepting applications for the position of Building Secretary at Dempsey Therapeutic Day School for the 2026-2027 school year.

Duties Include:

• Assisting in the smooth and efficient operation of the school office.
• Maintain accurate student attendance reports.
• Receive telephone calls and deliver messages.
• Receive all visitors.
• Provide clerical assistance for teachers, volunteers, and other organizations under the Principal's direction.
• Assist with first aid in the absence of the Health Services Assistant.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Ability to work with people
• Proficiency in typing
• Ability to use computers and common software applications
• Knowledge in operation of office equipment and machines
• Ability to start November 30th, 2026

SALARY AND FRINGE BENEFITS

• Hourly pay rate: $18.00 - $20.40 based on experience
• Fifteen (15) days per year sick leave
• Two (2) days personal leave per year
• Vacation time available after 1 full year of service
• Full-time Position – 237 days per school year
• IMRF Eligible
• Health, vision, and dental insurance available
