Educational Aide (2 positions)

The Fairview Park City Schools has openings for an Educational Aide at Fairview High School / Lewis F Mayer Middle School. The position is 7 hours per day, 5 days per week, 186-workday schedule. Please see attached job description for detailed information.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma
Educational Aide Permit (through ODE)
Friendly and polite demeanor
Ability to work well with staff, students and parents as a member of the team
Evidence of exceptional attendance and work record
Experience with students with low-incidence disabilities and emotional disturbances
Familiarity with techniques/strategies for students with Autism
De-escalation and physical restraint training

GENERAL DUTIES:
Maintain written instructional and behavioral anecdotal records
Communicate with instructional staff as it pertains to the students' performance and/or behavior, parental concern and other issues
Implement instructional/behavioral programs as developed by the Intervention Specialist, outside resource personnel and classroom teachers
Facilitate student academic/behavioral performance in class
Perform other duties assigned by the building principal and instructional staff

RATE OF PAY:
Pay scale starts at $17.49 per hour (proper placement per the negotiated agreement)
