Cleaner

Schedule: 12 month/8 hours 2:00pm-10:00pm

JOB GOAL: To maintain a high standard of cleanliness that will ensure students and staff optimum sanitary conditions while engaging in the teaching/learning process.

MISSION: Perform duties and responsibilities with a positive attitude that will reflect credit upon yourself and the Frontier Central School District.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Cleans tables and desks in classrooms and lavatories and removes graffiti accordingly;
• Dusts and wipes blackboards and walls;
• Sweep floors in classrooms, mops floors and lavatories;
• Cleans and wipes glass in showcases, telephone booths, etc.
• Closes windows and draws shade one-half way;
• Cleans and sanitizes fountains, sinks, etc.
• Cleans staircases and stairs assigned;
• Removes marks on walls, tiles, lockers, lavatory stalls, etc.
• Cleans and wipes classroom and hall windows as appropriate;
• Cleans fixtures where appropriate;
• Cleans desks daily;
• Services toilet tissues and hand towels;
• Cleans administration and staff offices;
• Vacuum offices with carpeting;
• Maintains and cleans administrative restroom facilities;
• Performs related work as requested.

1. Must have completed a minimum of an eighth-grade education;

2. Must have the ability to lift and/or move medium weights;

3. Must have the ability to follow simple oral and written instructions;

4. Must have demonstrated prior sanitary and hygienic practices;

5. Must have demonstrated dependability, neatness, thoroughness and physical endurance;

6. Must be in good physical condition.
