Athletic Event Worker

• 18 years of age or older

• Stadium or related experience

JOB DESCRIPTION:

TICKET TAKER/SELLER:

• Collect valid admission tickets, passes, or other appropriate admissions from patrons for Gonzales ISD sporting events, and refuses admittance to patrons without ticket, passes or credentials.

MESSAGE BOARD OPERATOR:

• Understand the rules of the sport assigned.
• Understand the operation of the message board for the sport assigned.
• Experience with computer operation of the scoreboard message center.

SCOREKEEPER/ANNOUNCER/STARTER/STATISTICIAN:

• Familiar with UIL regulations regarding Public Address Systems
• Experience in sport assigned.
• Understand the operation of the scoreboard and/or scorebook for the sport assigned.

FOOTBALL CHAIN CREW:

• The chain crew assists with high school football games by managing the down markers and chains on the sidelines. They help officials track the down, distance, and line of scrimmage, ensuring accurate and visible measurements for teams, referees, and spectators.
