Kids Club Recreation Leader

Position: Recreation Leader
Supervisor: Child Care Director

Terms of Employment: School year: 190 days – hours vary from 1.5 – 5.0 per day Monday - - Friday, Summer: 45-50 days – 9.0 hours per day Monday - Friday

Location: As assigned by the Child Care Director

Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Successfully pass a BCI/FBI Background check

General Duties:

• Providing proper supervision of children while maintaining a safe environment
• Provide positive Classroom Management.
• Follow all Ohio Department of Education(ODE) licensing rules.
• Complete all required training assigned by the school district and ODE.

Additional Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Assist team leader in planning program activities
• Set up and clean assigned classroom
• Maintain organization of classroom supplies and storage areas
• Perform assigned duties and accept direction from Child Care DirectoR
• Demonstrates a full range of motion to lift, reach, squat, climb, sit, walk, swim, or otherwise fully participate in all activities
• Supervises and interacts with children outdoors for extended periods of time in varied weather conditions
• Must be able to walk to the pool, library and other locations in Grandview Heights with students
