Preferred Substitute Secondary Teachers

Preferred Substitute Secondary Teachers, district-wide, 2026-2027 school year

Preferred Substitutes report daily to assigned schools (school holidays and breaks excluded)

Applicants must have a valid New York State Teaching Certificate (English, Math, Science, Social Studies or World Languages), demonstrate sound professional judgment and reliability, and be able to work effectively with students of diverse learning needs.

Rate: $155/day for the 1st 50 days; $165/day for 51-150 days; $190/day for 151+ days
