Description: School Monitor - Middle School

Job Summary:

• Implement high standards of conduct to foster a nurturing and trusting school environment
• Develop and implement discipline and character education plans that support code of conduct
• Support and address student attendance concerns
• Confer with students and parents on discipline matters, with administrator guidance
• Collaborate with teachers to support school learning and achievement goals
• Address the improvement of student discipline and attendance
• Collaborate with administration and other deans to ensure coordination with all stakeholders
• Assist in developing and administering practices dealing with building and grounds control and security
• Utilize technology effectively
• Document and track student conduct within the student data management system

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a similar position preferred
• Prior teaching experience a plus
• Knowledge of ABR Act and effective discipline strategies
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, flexibility, and ability to collaborate with colleagues
• Bilingual Spanish a plus

Working Conditions: 10 Month Position, Middle School
Salary: $65,000
