Social Studies Teacher- Middle School

Teacher of Social Studies grades 6-8

Requirements:

• Valid NJ Instructional Certificate (Teacher of Social Studies or Subject Matter Specialization in Social Studies 5-8)
• Knowledge of NJ Student Learning Standards for Social Studies
• Knowledge/Experience with Danielson's Framework for Teaching (a plus)
• Willingness to work collaboratively with fellow department members
• Willingness to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Understands importance of utilizing primary sources and various literacy strategies (within the social studies classroom)
• Background with implementation of Google Apps for Education (to enhance teaching and learning)
• Knowledge of best practices in middle level education
• Bilingual (a plus)

Effective: 2026-2027 School Year

Salary:

• As per salary guide based on experience and earned degree level
• Minimum $67,958 - maximum $99,181

In addition to the base salary, eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package:
including medical/vision, prescription and dental insurance, and paid time off. Will be entered into the appropriate NJ Pension Program.
