HAMILTON TOWNSHIP SCHOOL DISTRICT

Pre-K-8 School District of Excellence seeks exceptional candidates for openings for

the 2026-2027 school year:

Substitute Food Services Employee

Candidates must have the following:

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent training
• Minimum experience in cafeteria food service as determined by the board
• Knowledge of the principles of food management, nutrition, sanitation and applicable safety regulations
• Ability to perform simple bookkeeping and inventory procedures
• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
• Current residency in New Jersey, approved residency waiver or candidate agrees to obtain residency within one year of employment (if a regular district employee)

Per Diem Rates:

• $16.50/hour

Terms of Employment: On-call, as needed

Substitute food service positions are on call, per hour at $16.50/hour. If chosen, you will be required to complete a background check and other applicant requirements to be explained upon offer of employment.
