Pre-K-8 School District of Excellence seeks exceptional candidates for openings for the 2026-2027 school year:

Substitute Secretary

The Hamilton Township School District is seeking Substitute Secretaries/Receptionists to provide clerical and front-office support in school and central office settings on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience in clerical, receptionist, or school office work preferred
• Basic knowledge of office equipment and word processing
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work professionally with students, staff, parents, and the public
• Required criminal history background check
• NJ residency, approved waiver, or willingness to obtain residency within one year

Duties Include:

• Greet visitors and students; answer and direct phone calls
• Perform routine clerical and data entry tasks
• Assist with attendance, student sign-in/sign-out, and parent communication
• Maintain confidentiality and follow district procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned by administration

Substitute secretary positions are on call, per diem at $120/day. If chosen, you will be required to complete a background check and other applicant requirements to be explained upon offer of employment.
