Substitute Monitor

This position essentially involves responsibility for direct supervision of students in extra classroom programs. Examples of this type program include cafeteria, study halls and buses.

Primary Responsibilities

Supervise students in various activities and programs.

For example:

--cafeteria

--study halls

--buses

--testing rooms

--homerooms / classrooms

--hallways

--guidance office

--detentions

Related duties involving student recordkeeping and student management.

Assist teacher and school with basic recordkeeping and set-up/preparation of programs.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Works well with children and young adults.

Cooperative.

Makes sound judgments.

React to emergencies.
