School Police Officer

Salary Range:

$42,250 - $59,500 at 197 working days

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED. Texas Peace Officer License issued by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE). Valid Texas drivers license.

Special Knowledge and Skills:

General knowledge of criminal investigation, police report writing, and criminal laws;

Training and ability to subdue offenders, including use of firearms and handcuffs;

Bondable as required by Texas Education Code 37.081;

Ability to pass required physical, psychiatric, and drug tests;

Ability to work with youths and adults;

Strong communication, public relations, organizational, and interpersonal skills;

Experience:

Background in law enforcement or related work experience;
