Substitute Security (Armed) 10 - Month

Pay Rate: $21.50/hr

• Applicants will be required to have:
• A Valid N.J. Permit To Carry A Handgun
• Previous Law Enforcement or Military experience

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid New Jersey Drivers License
• Knowledge and/or experience with monitoring and control of adolescents
• Must be physically fit, mobile and flexible with the ability to run, jog and climb stairs
• Ability to restrain students and quickly respond to an emergency situation
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time in performance of job functions
• Ability to conduct extensive motorized patrols of district schools and related properties and sit for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work in the elements
• Ability to read and write English
• Understanding attitude while working with students and staff
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to exercise independent judgment
