PROFESSIONAL ROLE, REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

The Paraprofessional is responsible for assisting in establishing a high-quality educational environment in which children can take full advantage of the instructional program, extracurricular and co-curricular activities, and other resources. At Cambridge Lakes Learning Center, all faculty are learners. In this role, you will;

• Provide support and deliver engaging, learning experiences aligned to our values, challenge every student, and inspire excellence across all content areas and grade levels, including IEPs or students with accommodations as appropriate, and directed by leadership.
• Provides instructional, behavioral, and personal care support to assigned students in alignment with each student's needs, under the direction of the classroom teacher and student services team.
• Provide support and/or employ a range of research-based instructional strategies aligned to our instructional model that support inquiry, project-based, and experiential approaches to address the whole child and support the growth of all learners.
• Partner with colleagues, families, and school leadership to align curriculum, communicate student progress, and contribute to a culture of shared responsibility.
• Engage fully in Cambridge Lakes' Professional Excellence Framework and all professional responsibilities as outlined in the Guide to Excellence and Employee Handbook.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid ELS (Paraprofessional) license.

PREFERRED:

• Appropriate endorsements per subject matter seeking experience with experiential learning, project-based learning, inquiry approaches, or specialized pedagogies.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Meet the standards outlined in the contract.
• Classroom-based with regular interaction throughout the school.
• Attendance at meetings and events outside regular school hours.
• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift, move, and/or support up to 50 pounds.

• Competitive compensation with consistent adjustments to align with the market and skills
• Instructional Practice Advancement (IPA) contingent bonus is paid out twice a year

Pay Range: $20.00-26.00+ per hour. Placement within the range is determined by relevant education, professional experience, and applicable certifications.
