REQUIREMENTS:

• Completion of 30 semester-hour credits;
• Credits must be completed at an accredited college or university at the time of application;
• Credential is valid for five (5) years from the date of issuance.

Applicants are at least 18 years of age.

Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.

All substitute credential applicants must now initiate their applications online through the NJEdCert. System

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Per Diem rate of $125.00 for NJ Teaching Certificate, Educational Support Certificate, Administrative Certificate and Substitute Certificate holders.
