Registered Professional Nurse -RPT, 10 Month -Cardinal O'Hara

Hours: 8:00 a.m. –2:00 p.m. (Monday through Friday) 6.00 hours per day-30 hours per week- 10 month duty schedule

Duties of Assignment: Good knowledge of professional nursing principles, procedures and terminology; good knowledge of the principles and practices of public and child health; ability to get along well with children; ability to establish and maintain cooperative relations with teachers and the general public; sound professional judgment;initiative and resourcefulness; dependability, good physical condition;

Duties of Assignment: First aid, medication administration, management of chronic conditions, evaluation of immunization status, completion of state- mandated reporting, and other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Special Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, valid license and registration to practice as a registered professional nurse in the State of New York and current CPR/AED certification.

Pediatric/adolescent nursing experience; tact; patience; knowledgeable about childhood diseases; up-to-date on first aid techniques; technologically proficient.
