AVID Tutor - 26/27 SY

Job Description: Participate in AVID training on program methodologies, provide academic support to students in order to ensure success in rigorous coursework, lead subject-specific study groups, provide direct instruction under the site coordinator's supervision, act as a role model for AVID students, visit content classrooms to observe and assist AVID students, inform coordinator of student progress, assist organization and participate at functions and in activities, be an advocate for AVID among peers in order to build a pool of tutors.

Essential Duties: AVID Tutor

Job Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), Valid IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.

Preferred Qualifications: Enrolled in college or have college credits/experience.
Employment Information: 26/27 school year; 2-8 hours per week; AVID schools: Aprende, Akimel A-al and Centennial.
Salary: $15.50/hr
