Pre-Approved Volunteer - Coaching (for IHSA Seasonal Sports Only)

Applications are being accepted for individuals interested in volunteer coaching opportunities.

Description:
Coaches supervise and coordinate the activities of competitive athletic teams in accordance with the rules of the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) and School District 108 policy. They serve the District under the direction of the head coach and the Director of Athletics/IHSA Official Rep. For additional information about volunteer coaching opportunities, please reach out to the District's Athletic Director, Pete Schauer. Please keep in mind that all volunteers are prohibited from beginning any volunteer service at Lake Park until after they receive written confirmation to start from the program coordinator or an administrator.

Qualifications:

• NFHS certification (previous ASEP certification is accepted) or teacher/substitute licensure is required (substitute license must be registered in DuPage County)
• Previous experience preferred

Application Procedure:
Interested applicants must meet all requirements set forth by the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) to be an eligible coach, complete an online application, and contact Pete Schauer to begin the volunteer application process.
