Bilingual Specialist (.5)

QUALIFICATIONS: Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Bilingual (Spanish) Endorsement and Early Childhood Education Endorsements, Student teaching and/or current experience in this area preferred; OR Transitional Bilingual Education (TBE) Certificate and Early Childhood Education Endorsement

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

PURPOSE: The Bilingual Specialist supports Spanish-speaking English Learners by providing targeted bilingual instruction and culturally responsive services that develop English and Spanish proficiency while promoting grade-level academic success.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 182 Days. Salary to be established by the Board of Education.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Building Principal and/or Dean in accordance with provisions of Board policy.

Payroll Schedule: Distributed over 26 periods, every other Friday
