CLEANER

Le Roy Central School District is seeking full-time cleaners. Cleaners perform a range of duties to keep our district clean, including, but not limited to:

• Sweeps and mops floors by hand or floor machine;
• Washes windows and polishes floors;
• Dusts woodwork, furniture and other articles;
• Cleans bathrooms and replenishes supplies;
• Washes glassware and other dishware equipment;
• Vacuum carpets;
• Picks up and recycles trash;
• Does related work, as needed.

Applicants must complete and submit a Genesee County Civil Service application, which is available at the link below or in the District Office, M-F, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.

The applicant must possess or obtain NYS fingerprinting clearance and have:

• Working knowledge of building cleaning practices, supplies and equipment, and ability to use them economically and efficiently; ability to understand and follow simple oral and written directions; willingness to perform janitorial tasks; thoroughness; dependability.
• The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
• The employee is constantly required to stand; walk; bend; climb; reach with hands and arms; perform repetitive motions; and talk and hear.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works inside and may occasionally work outside performing assigned tasks.
