Second Shift Custodian

Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Second Shift Custodian. This full-time position plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our employees and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks, ensuring that all areas are well-kept and organized during the second shift hours.

• Responsibilities
• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in various areas of the facility.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas, ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies.
• Empty trash receptacles and recycle bins, properly disposing of waste materials.
• Maintain floors, including stripping, waxing, and buffing as needed.
• Assist with minor maintenance and repairs, reporting any major issues to the supervisor.
• Follow safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively.
• Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify areas needing attention or improvement.
• Collaborate with other custodial staff to ensure efficient cleaning operations and coverage.

• Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous custodial or janitorial experience is a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, and safe handling practices.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and pressure washers.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
