Competitive Cheer Head Coach

Job Summary:

• Demonstrated ability in the teaching and coaching of a Competitive Cheerleading program in a multicultural high school and/or unit district
• Must be able to manage all levels within the program, able to manage various areas within the program, organized, flexible, able to take direction from their direct supervisor, and able to work and communicate with parents and the Booster Club.
• Enhance, improve, and maximize students' athletic skills required to compete at a high level.
• Lead an athletic program for sustained participation and success.
• Works with the Athletic Department to ensure all games, officials, and transportation are scheduled.
• Other duties as determined by administrator

Qualifications:

• Required Experience or Training
• Professional Educator License issued by the Illinois State Board of Education (ESBE) preferred
• Knowledge of the sport; must be willing to research and incorporate new philosophies, theories and practices pertinent to the activity
• Previous coaching experience at the high school level

Compensation:

• Commensurate with experience per 2026-2027 LEA Collective Bargaining Agreement (see attached)
• No benefits
