Description: Junior High Head Cheer Coach

Job Summary:

• Must be able to manage all levels within the program, manage various areas within the program, be organized, flexible, be able to take direction from their direct supervisor, and be able to work and communicate with parents and the Booster Club.
• Enhance, improve, and maximize students' athletic skills required to compete at a high level.
• Lead an athletic program for sustained participation and success.
• Works with the Athletic Department to ensure all games, officials, and transportation are scheduled.
• Other duties as determined by the administrator

Qualifications:

• Professional Educator License issued by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Preferred
• Appropriate subject area content endorsement, if applicable
• Must have substantial knowledge of sport, club or activity; must be willing to research and incorporate new philosophies, theories and practices pertinent to the activity.

Compensation:

• Commensurate with experience per 2026-2027 LEA Collective Bargaining Agreement (see attached)
• No benefits
