Community/Lay Coach

POSITION TITLE:

Community/Lay Coach

RESPONSIBLE TO:

Athletic Director

JOB CLASSIFICATION:

Volunteer

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to support the Head Coach of the program
• Ability to be an active member of the athletic staff
• Build Teamwork/Leadership capacity in student athletes
• Comply with GHSA rules and regulations
• Ability to assist in the functioning of a successful program
• Provide instruction; assess and encourage student program; manage the learning environment; comply with state and system level regulations and polices; comply with the rules of Professional Standards and Commission code of ethics for educator
• Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or immediate supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be a community member that possesses advanced knowledge of a certain sport or program based on previous participation or advanced coaching experience.

Working Conditions:

The noise level in the work environment ranges from quiet to loud, when around students

Physical Demands:

Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities.
