Substitute Teacher 2026-2027

Job Description:

We are currently seeking dedicated and passionate Substitute Teachers to join our District. This position is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic professional who is looking to make a significant impact on students' lives while also enhancing their teaching skills.

Responsibilities:

• Implement lesson plans provided by the regular Teacher to create a cohesive and consistent learning experience.
• Manage the classroom effectively to encourage student participation, minimize distractions and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
• Maintain accurate student attendance records and grades.
• Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among students.
• Communicate effectively with parents and school administration about student progress and behavior.
• Attend professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops to maintain and improve professional competence.

• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to build relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

Certifications:

Valid Substitute Teacher Certification or Texas Teacher Certification (preferred)
