JOB TITLE: Food Service
SCHOOL: McHenry Middle School
REPORTS TO: Director of Food Service
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 4 hours a day and 174 days
START DATE: ASAP

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIRED SKILLS

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Food Sanitation Certification required (will help obtain) and previous experience in large scale food preparation preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Flexibility and ability to work in a fast paced environment, often with strict deadlines.
• Ability to read, write, follow recipes and calculate quantities using simple math along with knowledge of operating a personal computer and related software.
• Capability to prepare daily food menu along with completing inventory, production records and daily sheets.
• Ability to communicate respectfully to staff, children and coworkers while working effectively as a member of a team.
• Maintain the highest standard of sanitation and safety according to HACCP principles, the state of Illinois and Local Health Departments.

PAY AND BENEFITS

• $16.50/hour starting.
