Job Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Responsible for Club 360 After School Program operation and management at an assigned Club 360 Program location.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education / Certification:

High school diploma or GED

College credits/hours (preferred)

Must be able to successfully pass a background check required by MISD and the Texas Department of Health and Human Services.

Special Knowledge Skills:

Eleyo Childcare Software

Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)

Google

General knowledge of activity planning/scheduling.

Knowledge of the developmental stages of youth.

Ability to communicate with children, parents, and staff professionally.

Strong organizational skills and coordination of youth activities.

Ability to supervise children and staff

Ability to work a flexible schedule

Experience:

Experience working with elementary age children.

Supervision of a childcare staff/site.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of mission and purpose of Club 360
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the mission and purpose of Club 360 After School Program.
  • Comply with McKinney ISD and Club 360 policies.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance in the workplace.
  • Provide great customer service to support children, parents, Club 360 staff, MISD personnel, and community members.
  • Acknowledge all visitors and maintain a secure environment.
  • Manage resources provided to Club 360 sites.
  • Ensure proper use of all equipment and facilities during all program activities.
  • Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for program participants.
  • Provide and maintain a clean environment.
  • Facilitate daily schedule/duties associated with Club 360 programs.
  • Practice regular safety procedures (attendance, safety drills, area checks).
  • Assist students checking into Club 360 programs.
  • Assist students checking out of Club 360 programs and verifying authorized pickups.
  • Supervise and coach staff members on site (Site Assistants/Group Leaders).
  • Utilize positive behavior strategies and maintain professionalism managing staff and children.
  • Maintain student confidentiality.
  • Review daily attendance of students and implement steps for those absent from the program.
  • Maintain professional communication and documentation of Club 360 policies/procedures.
  • Attend the required training scheduled by MISD Childcare Programs.
  • Work as a team member and with peers, teachers, campus personnel, and principals.
  • Maintain professional demeanor and communication with diverse groups during active supervision.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Club 360 Coordinator/Director of Childcare Programs

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Direct supervision of Club 360 campus staff, program implementation, daily schedule, and lesson plans.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Tools/Equipment Used: Personal Computer and peripherals; Procare Child/Staff Tracking; standard instructional equipment; cell phone; equipment related to educational workrooms which includes, but is not limited to, cutting boards, die-cut machines, laminating machine, and poster makers.

Posture: Prolonged standing; frequent kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
Motion: Frequent walking; repetitive hand motions; exposure to computer emissions
Lifting: Regular light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds); may lift and move classroom equipment

Environment: Work inside may work outside; regular exposure to noise; ability to supervise children (physically, visually and auditorally); ability to participate in and conduct floor activities with children; ability to participate in and conduct large motor activities with the children (i.e., exercises, gym games, etc.)

Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress: work prolonged or irregular hours; reading; ability to communicate effectively (verbally and written); adapt to mental stress generated by short deadlines and manual workload; adjust work to new programs, sites, and ideas; ability to operate and learn new technology systems.

Other: Work as a team member and with peers, teachers, campus personnel and principals. Professional demeanor, and resourcefulness, communicate effectively with diverse groups and accept supervision. Work without day-to-day supervision. Regular and punctual attendance in the workplace. Ability to calculate Club 360 Payroll. Ability to meet all deadlines as set by the Office of Childcare Programs.

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board Policy on Evaluations.
