Substitute Teacher Assistants for 2026-2027

Mechanicville City School District is continuously seeking dedicated, compassionate, and energetic Teacher Assistants to join our instructional team on an as-needed basis.

Teacher Assistants play a vital role in our classrooms by working under the general supervision of certified teachers to provide direct instructional support, foster positive behavior, and help create an inclusive, engaging learning environment for students of all abilities across our district.

Preferred Skills:

• Prior experience working with children in an educational, childcare, or therapeutic setting.
• Patience, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid New York State Teacher Assistant Certification (Level I, Level II, Level III, or Pre-Professional) Preferred
• NYSED Fingerprint Clearance (will be required prior to working).
