ANTICIPATED VACANCY NOTICE

POSITION TITLE: Long-Term Substitute Elementary Teacher
CURRENT ASSIGNMENT: Palermo Elementary School (Kindergarten)
CERTIFICATION: Valid NYS Certification
START DATE: January 2027

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid NYS Certification: Early Childhood Education (Birth-Grade 2) or equivalent
• Strong commitment to children
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
• Knowledge of New York State Learning Standards and understanding of effective classroom instruction
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Such alternatives to the above as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
• Primary (K-2) experience preferred
• Prior experience covering long-term teaching assignments preferred

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• Full-time, temporary appointment
• Salary and benefits as per MACSFA contract
• Assignment expected through June 2027
